Nobuo Uematsu

Composer

Joined Square in 1986. Composed music for the Final Fantasy series, The Final Fantasy Legend, Chrono Trigger, and others. After leaving the company in 2004, Uematsu founded SMILE PLEASE. He has worked on numerous game music projects and composed the new theme song for FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE in 2020. The album won the Japan Gold Disc Award for Soundtrack Album of the Year. In addition to composing game music, he has been leading orchestral world tours; expanding his activities on a global scale. In recent years, Uematsu has been performing solo and with his band including reading drama, “The Story of Blik-0,” for which he has been in charge of the story and music, and “Nobuo Uematsu Live - con TIKI,” which includes performances in a variety of forms.
